Current Productions

The Webmaster has not been informed of specific needs relating to the current production. However, most productions will need costumers, light and/or sound techs, stage hands, help with props and sets, and other miscellaneous assistance. If you are interested in being a part of the Directors' Symposium, please contact us at info@mcct.org.

Ongoing Needs

Although many of our needs are tied to specific productions and thus change from one show to the next, there are some things that we always need.

One of the most obvious ongoing needs we have is the need for funds. We survive because of the generosity of the community; as we always say, only with your help can we continue to bring quality community theater to Monroe County and the surrounding area. If you'd like to donate, you can find more information by clicking here.

The other thing we can't survive without, of course, is a season! We are always looking for plays to perform. It helps if you're willing to direct a proposal that you bring forth (or know someone who is), but it's certainly not necessary. We encourage theater members and the community to bring plays to our attention even if they aren't interested in being involved. After all, we need ideas before we can ask anyone to carry them out. Don't hesitate to propose shorter plays, either; they may fit in with our annual Directors' Symposium, or sometimes we can pair a couple of shorter pieces together. If you have a show you'd like to propose, you can e-mail us at info@mcct.org or bring your proposal to our next board meeting.

Another way to get involved is by running for a seat on the Board of Directors. Terms are two years, with elections being held each January at the Annual Membership meeting. Requirements to run are that you've paid your $1 annual dues, are at least 18 years old, and have participated in at least three MCCT productions in some capacity. Board members need to attend at least four meetings (held monthly) each year, although of course the more meetings a Board member is present at the better. You can expect to be involved in planning our season, discussing current MCCT issues ranging from finance to performance space to attendance at the latest performances (and beyond!), and sometimes publicizing current productions. If this sounds appealing to you, keep an eye on our Events Calendar for the date and location of our next annual meeting.
