John Waldron Arts Center
The John Waldron Arts Center is currently where we have produced many of our shows in recent years. There are two stages: the Auditorium on the third floor and the smaller Rose Firebay on the ground floor. The Rose Firebay has been the home of our Directors' Symposium series for several years now.
The John Waldron Arts Center is located at 122 South Walnut Street in Bloomington, on the north side of Fourth Street between College Avenue and Walnut Street. We advise that you park in the Fourth Street Parking Garage, across Fourth Street from the Arts Center, for shows in this building. On evenings and weekends, parking in this garage is free.
Directions to the John Waldron Arts Center
To get there from the north: Take State Road 37 South to State Road 45/46 East on the outskirts of Bloomington. Continue east to the second stoplight, then turn right (south) on College Avenue. Stay on College until the fifth stoplight, which is Third Street. Turn left (east) and then right (south) into the parking garage in the middle of the block. The Arts Center is directly across the road from the parking garage.
To get there from the south: Take State Road 37 North to Second Street in Bloomington. At the top of the exit ramp, turn left (east). Follow Second Street through town to the stoplight at Walnut Street and then turn left (north). Go to the second stoplight, which is Fourth Street, and turn left (west). Turn left again (south) into the parking garage in the middle of the block. The Arts Center is directly across the road from the parking garage.
To get there from the east: Take State Road 46 West to Bloomington. This will turn into East Third Street. Continue on Third Street until you reach the stoplight at Walnut Street. Turn right (north) here. Go to the next stoplight, which is Fourth Street, and turn left (west). Turn left again (south) into the parking garage in the middle of the block. The Arts Center is directly across the road from the parking garage.
To get there from the west: Take State Road 46 East to Bloomington. After crossing State Road 37, continue east to the second stoplight, then turn right (south) on College Avenue. Stay on College until the fifth stoplight, which is Third Street. Turn left (east) and then right (south) into the parking garage in the middle of the block. The Arts Center is directly across the road from the parking garage.
