Director's Note

It is a great pleasure to bring to you examples of a little-known facet of our cultural heritage. This genre, called Medieval Farce, although it spills over into Renaissance times, is such joyous, enjoyable fare, whose wry comment on human nature still rings a bell today.

The rhymed couplet is a prominent feature of this genre.
