Written in 1499, I have chosen to use a modern flare when directing Celestina by casting two of the male characters as women, thus incorporating homosexuality into the characterization. Audiences should note that I have chosen to keep the original pronouns, so Calisto and Sumpronio are both referred to as "he." When beginning to direct Celestina, I did not expect to have a tenth of the difficulties which I have run into, but I have been blessed with a wonderful cast who have done their best all along, and a wonderful group of family and friends who have supported me whenever possible. Despite all of our difficulties, it has been worth it to work with such fabulous and understanding people, and have the fun that we have.
