Annual Membership Meeting 2009

Frank gave a brief overview of the organization. He referred to the theater group a kind of “revolving door”. The group has performed as few as two shows and as many as eight or ten in some years. He also stated that many people were surprised by our group, either in the types of performances the group does or that the group exists. Since the theater is mainly known for the Shakespeare in the Park Series, he stated that the stage at Third Street Park is a tough space to perform in and that the crowds can also be tough. Frank then stated that we were the only theater group in town still offering free performances for the community.
The membership then paid their dues.
Election of Board Members
The following members were up for reelection: Phillip Addison, Rance Fawbush, and Russell McGee. There were two Board seats open and Frank opened the floor for nominations for those two seats. Rance nominated Janice Clevenger, and Sara seconded. Phil nominated Sheila Butler, and Susan seconded. The nominations were then closed. Phil, Rance and Russ were then asked if they would be willing to be reelected to the board, and all agreed. After a unanimous vote for all involved, Frank welcomed the new members to the board.
Shakespeare in the Park
At this time, there was no set meeting with Parks & Rec. Both parties were trying to set a date and time to discuss the summer shows.
Promotional DirectorThe person interested in filling the vacant position of promotional director was supposed to be at the meeting. Rance said she was still interested in the position the last time he spoke to her.
AdjournmentSheila moved to adjourn the meeting, with Janice adding the second. It passed.
