Treasurers’ Report given by Susan Anderson in the absence of the Treasurer.. After discussion of transfer to People’s State Bank and a correction to the amount of program printing expenses listed for Romeo and Juliet which mistakenly included those forTroubled Dreams, motion for acceptance was made by Rance and seconded by Roy and unanimously approved.

The need for an interim Secretary was discussed in view of Bill Goveia’s lack of attendance and failure to keep muinutes. Roy Sillings was nominated for a temporary replacement. The appointment was moved by Rance and seconded by Susan.  Unanimously approved. The procedure for officially relieving Bill of his duties as Secretary was discussed. It was determined that he should be notified by e-mail and thereafter replaced as secretary. Moved by Rance seconded by Susan. Unanimously approved.

The recently concluded run on Romeo and Juliet was discussed noting the exceptionally large audiences averaging 110 persons per night. Besides the general appeal of the production which was well advertised and received “glowing” reviews, the excellent weather throughout the run and the participation of high-schoolers, whose friends and families often came more than once, played a role in the shows financial success. The use of wireless mikes was felt to have contributed perceptibly to the audience’s enjoyment of the performance. The purchase of such microphones for MCCT was considered. The cost for 10 was estimated at about $900. The general good feelings and positive attitude of the cast and crew were noted along with the usual few exceptions. The mayor was reported to have been in the audience one night although he had not been able to perform in or introduce the first show as planned. Two football Jerseys are the only reported missing items so far.

Jennifer reported on the progress of Jekyll and Hyde which except for the usual late casting problems was going well. The dates and times of the performances were given and the ticket prices for the Cinemat performances were discussed. It was suggested that $8 - $10 was too high and might discourage family attendance and that it might be too great an increase for a formerly free performance. Still with the venue no longer free and the general price of tickets in the area it seemed reasonable. A price of $5 was proposed and Susan moved it be accepted. Seconded by Rance. Unanimously approved. (The decision was changed by another vote later in the week raising the price to $8.)

Christmas Carol - Cathy at the Hilltop in Spencer is eager to have the show, but dates have not been established. Canyon Inn to be contacted by Rance

Over the River Good progress reported by Rance and the promising reaction of actors during the read through. Russ is eager to do the poster and have it printed along with those for Jekyll and Hyde. Rance wants to consider the matter further. Sara and Tim are proposed to do the lighting on this show. The first performance is at the First Methodist Church. Jennifer volunteers to handle promotions. Bussing from Meadowwood and engagement of the Red Hat Ladies is considered. Information for the press release must be in by the 15th.. George Walker interview or review suggested.

Need for job description for promotional person noted.

Contacting Windfall Dancers suggested.

Fiddler to be part of the Waldron series.

Rance moves to adjourn, seconded by Susan. Unanimously approved.
