Old/Current Business

Webmaster Report

In June we had 9,450 hits; in July, 9,076. (These figures were incorrectly reported at the meeting as being for July and August due to an error the Webmaster made when writing down the numbers to be reported on her behalf.) This is lower than we have had for the past few months, but still good.

Merry Wives of Windsor

There have been issues with cast members quitting, but the cast seems fairly stable now.  Right now focus is on two areas: getting the cast into running shape and getting costuming done. Costuming is about a third of the way done. There may be a radio broadcast or interview the week following the August board meeting. Susan is going to call about getting the stairs for backstage.

Fourth Street Festival

Ben agreed to find volunteers to work the booth. Tim said he might be able to set up the booth.

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and A Christmas Carol

Russell has met with Dennis at the Lion and confirmed that we will be able to collect donations for both shows. Also, we will be able to use the space for tech prior to each show.  For Frankenstein specifically: A costume designer has been found, and several actors have been talked to about auditioning for this show.

Sleeping Beauty

Janice expressed a desire to have the show early in May, now that the Waldron’s format has changed and the schedule is open. After much discussion, Rance agreed to move Hadrian to October so that Sleeping Beauty could go up in February. Also, it was agreed that the shows would be matinees on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Since the play is so short, Janice has found a “curtain-raiser” to be paired with it. Janice would like to have elementary school children as fairies.

Storage

A second storage trailer has been rented and large items and raw materials have been moved into it.

Upcoming/New Business

Annual Meeting

By October we will need to be thinking about when to have the annual meeting and whose terms on the board are up.

Meeting Adjourned

Tim moves to close the meeting, Ben seconds, ayes unanimous.
