Webmaster’s Report

June: 18,893 hits

July: 19,330 hits

In other news, we were informed in the middle of the month that HoosierNet, the place mcct.org is hosted, will no longer be offering hosting services. Tim and Sara have offered to use their hosting account at Dreamhost to host MCCT’s page, and MCCT has accepted. The switchover is already complete and was seamless.

Old/Current Business

Grant

The word from Rance (passed through his wife) is that we have been awarded $3,050 for expenses involved with the Dinner Theater shows.

The Beggar’s Opera

We have agreed to produce the Beggar’s Opera, ideally in February 2007 in the Waldron Auditorium. Hal Kibbey will be working with the production, but not as the director (likely as either a consultant or possibly assistant director). Rance moved to approve, Tim seconded, ayes were unanimous.

Alice in Wonderland

The show did quite well, though Russ and Jen noted that the Saturday and Sunday showings tended to have a smaller audience. The final showing was completely “sold out” and people ended up having to be turned away.

Pericles

Janice is still in need of a couple of people, ideally male, to fill a couple necessary roles.  Other than that, things seem to be going as well as can be expected.

Shakespeare in 2007

We have accepted proposals from Phil and Russ for the summer shows next year. In the first spot will be Antony and Cleopatra directed by Phil (Tim moved to approve, Phil seconded, ayes unanimous), and in the second spot will be Romeo and Juliet directed by Russ (Rance moved to approve, Susan seconded, ayes unanimous).

Hadrian

Rance is quite excited about what has been happening lately. Rance has reported that he already has more people cast than actually showed up for auditions last time. The roles that have been cast consist primarily of major roles, with a couple minor roles also filled.  Auditions will primarily be for minor roles.

Additional Items

A few more additional items were discussed at the meeting and are available on tape/CD on request.

Meeting Adjourned

Susan moves to close the meeting, Phil seconds, ayes unanimous.
