Old/Current Business
9th Director’s ForumHas been going quite and opening weekend was good, considering what happened before (a stroke, people jumping up and down upstairs, jazz fest). Everything went quite well and the director’s are looking forward to a good closing weekend. Shots for the play are up on the website.
Engaged
Last Tuesday and Wednesday were auditions; only two men showed up, though there was an abundance of women. Janice is still lacking a person to play Angus, the Scotsman. Janice has also had problems finding somebody to coach people in English accents. Practices start next Tuesday, starting off with a read through of the play. Susan can takes e-mails from anybody when necessary. Note: we will not be able to move any equipment in until tech week, though it would be nice to have the stuff for the set chosen and obtained ahead of time.
WTIU Fundraiser
Monday, March 15th, 8 – 10:30. Enough people have volunteered, hopefully everything will go well.March 23rd Fundraiser (Pizza King)Allen talked to Serea (sp?) at length today. Currently we are shooting for a goal of $250. It would be to everybody’s benefit if we dressed in Shakespearean costumes, also it would be a good idea to have people out front on the sidewalks and stuff to hand out fliers. Allen also wants to do a press release to the Herald Times and the Ellettsville paper.
General Fundraising (Ads)
While Pizza King has accepted, others have said it is a bit too late in the year for this, though White Mountain said that if we have an auction or door prizes or whatever, they will donate coupons.
Taming the Scottish Play
We still need to find directors for Taming of the Shrew and the Scottish Play. We have contacted a few people who have said they are interested, though we don’t have a solid commitment from anybody yet.
Proposal for the Waldron Season – Twist of Treason
Our proposals were/are before the board. They thought the budget was a bit large, and they thought the chorus wasn’t to be paid and hoped that we could omit that. The proposed expenses for the play are $4,700. Projected revenues are estimated around $4,000 from ticket sales.
Upcoming/New Business
Upcoming Season
Upcoming season needs to be decided soon, so that we can get ads up and be ready for Allen to take care of sponsorships for next year.
Meeting Adjourned
Susan moves to close the meeting, Phil seconds, ayes unanimous.
