
Director’s Symposium XVIII












Auditions for MCCT’s Director’s Symposium XVIII are set!
Auditions for original one acts will be held from 2 – 5pm on Saturday, October 14th in Meeting Room 1B of the Monroe County Public Library. All ages and experience levels are welcome! Performances will be in the evening December 1-2 with a matinee on December 3rd.
Anyone interested in backstage work should arrive between 11:30am – 1:30pm on Saturday, October 14th in Meeting Room 1B of the Monroe County Public Library. MCCT is looking for artists interested in working on musical pieces, writing, managing, and/or fundraising!
The Director’s Symposium XVIII will benefit Middle Way House‘s transitional housing program “The Rise“.

MCCT is looking for written submissions for our annual Director’s Symposium to be held on the weekend of November 30th, 2017!!
Submissions should be short skits or plays of 5 to 15 minutes in length. This year’s symposium will be based around the theme of “Hopes and Dreams”. Submissions may be made to MCCT via email to MCCTSymposium2017@gmail.com or via hard copy to Monroe County Civic Theater, PO Box 2032, Bloomington, IN 47402.
Submissions are due by September 15th for review by the Monroe County Civic Theatre board. Line-up of plays will be announced October 8th.
After the line-up is announced, there will be a writer/director meet and greet on October 14th to match teams. If you are interested in directing, please email MCCT at MCCTSymposium2017@gmail.com. An open audition for all works will be held on October 15th. Both events will take place in the Monroe County Public Library.
Rehearsals will be left up to production teams with MCCT’s costume, prop, and set collections available for use. There will be 4 technical rehearsals in the performance space the week of performances. Performance space and tech dates are TBD.
