Auditions for MCCT’s Shakespeare in the Park production of ‘As You Like It’ are set!!
Saturday April 8 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Monroe County Public Library, Room 1C.
Saturday April 15 from 3:00 pmto 5:30pm at the Monroe County Public Library, Room 214.

Prepared speeches are welcome, but not required.
Priority on April 8 will be given to IU students to accommodate ‘The Drowsy Chaperone.’
Rehearsals will start at 3rd Street Park on Monday, April 24, and will be Monday through Thursday evenings.
Performance dates are Thursday June 1 through Sunday June 4 (matinee).
MCCT is devoted to community inclusion and we will work with first-timers, limited scheduling, and all ages.
Children for the flock of sheep will always be released by 8 p.m.
Choir singing is important in this production, with simple songs meant to create the mood for a pleasant day in the park.
Shakespeare’s female roles are always limited, so casting will be open-gender except for Rosalind, Celia, and Orlando.
Some roles will require rehearsals beyond evenings on the stage. These will be in sessions up to two hours long, independently scheduled, by May 7. The Duke and Jacques will have two sessions. Celia, Orlando, and Touchstone will have three. Rosalind is an enormous part, with 1/4 of the lines in the play and is a serious commitment; six extra sessions will need to be scheduled for her.
